Robert's Story

Robert's musical career started on the fiddle around the age of ten. And with a busy schedule following the fiddlers contest circuit in Texas, he quickly polished his craft of Old Time Fiddling in the "Texas Style".

From the 1970's through the mid 1980's, Robert consistently placed in the top ten of the Texas Old Time Fiddlers Association state competition, including 4th place on four separate occasions.

In later years, the strong call of country music took Robert to the north central Texas clubs and dance halls. In 1987, Robert toured North America playing fiddle and pedal steel guitar for RCA recording artist Pake McIntire. After a year away from the music business, it was on to a permanent spot in Johnnie High's Country Music Revue in 1988. You will find Robert playing fiddle, guitar, and mandolin. You will also see him singing and filling in on pedal steel guitar. Also, Robert is currently touring with recording artist Janie Fricke.
